Yeah Caldari rock except in standard frigate they are kind of weak well I like the Merlin and I guess Kestrel can dish out fair enough damage. The Ferox look nice and is especially versatile with 5 turret and 5 launcher hardpoints.
Have you actually tried the Brutix from what I've heard on the test server this ship was more than capable of kicking ass. Haven't tried it myself but will do in the near future.

FYI it has more powergrid than Ferox.

And nah, not really off topic, not being able to use a MWD is what gimps the brutix (and other close range ships) the most IMO.
I thought that was how it worked. I was going through a complex in my ares in the test server (silly me thought I would have to fight my way through to get out) and I tried to take a shortcut by just heading for the gate and activate it and I couldn't.
